Knowing that the economy has left many in our fellowship without a job, we want to help. This page of the blog site will be a place for people to discuss their job needs and opportunities.

If you hear about an opportunity or have an opportunity to employ someone, please let us know by commenting on this page.
If you need a job, you can let us know that by commenting on this page. We certainly cannot promise jobs, but we can open the communication lines to help. We can also be praying for each other through this time.

God has really laid this topic on my heart! I have been pryaing for 3 or 4 friends that are without jobs. In the past coiuple days I have fowarded a couple leads and thought… wait a minute… I bet others are hearing about work too and where we could put the info so those looking can find it. We decided HERE is a good place. Check it early and often and if you hear about a lead post it!!!
No job is too small or too big. If you have some day work that needs to be done post it. If you hear of a company that is looking for short term help POST IT! If you know of someone looking to hire… you guesed it… POST it here and give as much info as you have.
While looking for work every situation and opportunity is worth checking into.
This is such a great way for the body of Christ to connect!

Pingback by Searching for a Job?… « Connections at Roswell Street January 29, 2009 @ 12:24 amIf you are a techy, there is a job with Cobb County Schools. I believe the position is for the Smyrna area. Job posting is http://star.cobbk12.org/jobpost/ click on CLASSIFIED/PROFESSIONAL and then PROFESSIONAL/SUPERVISORY/TECH
If you are a techy, and a good people person, then you could do this. Basically just fixing the schools technology issues that come up.

I and my wife have recently moved to the area (originally for a job with Children’s Hospital that fell through once we got here) and are new to the church (which we love). We’re in the midst of a very complicated pregnancy (which God is certainly working in) and now I, Seth, am in desperate need of a job… any job at this point. I have a background in Counseling/Psychology and would love to be working with kids. Any leads anyone could give would be huge. I’ve applied everywhere that I can think of with no results. I appreciate your help. Thanks. ~Seth

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management but am open to all facets of business.
I have been searching, applying, and praying for a job and would appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Comment by David Baldwin May 14, 2009 @ 1:35 pmI am also in job transition, and have been since January. Check out this website, it will give you most of the networking groups in Atlanta (http://www.godel.com/acalendar/cal.htm). I highly recommend C3G Monday mornings @ 7:45am, RUMC 2nd and 4th Mondays @ 6pm and Cobb Jobseekers on Tuesdays @ 7am. These are all Christ centered networking groups. If you attend and join their Yahoo groups, you can sign up for email notification of job postings and post questions. Good luck.
David
